Description:
Regina Spektor reflects on her prolific songwriting process, lamenting the loss of many songs to memory because she rarely writes them down. To address this, she has started recording rough versions of her new songs to ensure she can revisit them later. After graduating from SUNY Purchase, she developed her unique style by performing at New York City's anti-folk venues, blending classical piano with eclectic vocal techniques. Her career took off when the Strokes invited her to open for their "Room on Fire" tour, leading to her current headlining national tour. Despite her growing success, Spektor remains deeply connected to her New York City roots, particularly the Bronx.
