Description:

Regina Spektor, a 24-year-old Moscow-born pianist and singer, gained recognition as the Strokes’ tour opener and for her duet with Julian Casablancas on "Modern Girls and Old Fashion Men". Moving to New York at nine, she emerged from the anti-folk scene with her indie album Soviet Kitsch, soon to be re-released on a major label. Known for her unique storytelling and comparisons to Patti Smith, she blends classical roots with rock'n'roll appeal.
