Halicha LeCaesarea

Description

"Halicha LeCaesarea", also known by a number of other names such as "Eli, Eli", "Walking to Caesarea", "A Walk to Caesarea", etc., is a cover of a traditional Hebrew song performed by Regina Spektor. Originally written in 1942 by Hannah Szenes, the poem was set to music in 1945 by David Zahavi. The song is often played on Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Rememberance Day) in Israel. Regina has performed "Halicha LeCaesarea" on two occasions, first at the Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Arts Synagogue for the Artist's Den in 2006 and again when she visited Israel in 2013.
