"In the Studio" is a song originally composed and performed by Regina Spektor. The song was never officially recorded or released. The song was only attempted to be performed once in 2002 with the lyrics "In the studio...Hmm, I forgot". On 2022-08-03, Regina responded to a tweet linking to a recording of "In the Studio", noting that she did not remember the song.
Some theories link "In the Studio" to "Making Records", as they both contain the lyrics "In the studio". However, these two songs differ dramatically musically, and "Making Records" was performed for the first time almost a full year after "In the Studio". Another theory is that the song is actually an early version of "BYOS". The songs have similar intros and were played within seven months of each other.
