Tiny Song
Description
"Tiny Song" is a song originally composed and performed by Regina Spektor. The song was performed during Regina's visit to the NPR Tiny Desk on 2022-07-22, describing her journey by train to the studio. Bob Boilen describes the genesis of the song: "Regina Spektor sat in her hotel room waiting as we tuned the piano behind my desk. In those idle moments, she whipped up a "Tiny Song," and she opens her concert singing this sweet, funny and tiny ditty."
"Tiny Song" was released on YouTube as part of NPR's "Tiny Desk Concerts" series.

Lyrics
Oh it’s a tiny, tiny desk
In a little, little room
I’m gonna do a tiny show for you
I’m gonna start singing real soon
It might sound like I’m singing now, but no
I’m gonna start singing real soon
Took a train from New York to D.C.
And everybody was coughing on me
But I wore a real tight mask
And got myself a negative COVID test
So that I could sing here to you behind this tiny desk
This silly song's just for you
To show that there are no rules
That it’s okay to be a fool
It’s really, really true
Cause everything’s weird
And nothing is real
But we’re all here
At NPR
Yeah, here we are
At the tiny desk
At NPR
